On 10 October 2016, AB Inbev completed its combination with SABMiller to become the world’s largest brewer, with operations in virtually every major beer market. The shares of the combined company were listed on Euronext Brussels on Tuesday 11 October 2016.
The £79 billion deal created the first truly global brewer, with approximately 200,000 employees based in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Eubelius assisted Bevco, the second largest shareholder of SABMiller with all Belgian aspects in relation to the merger.
The Eubelius team was led by Marieke Wyckaert and also included Kristof Spagnoli, Matthias Wauters, Joris De Wolf and Thomas Donnez.
